Harley Quinn | Finished

I finished the Harley Quinn painting. I used an overlay of wrinkled brown paper scanned in to give the painting more of a physical texture as I did not start this painting with a pencil sketch.

I also changed the colour scheme a lot during the painting of this image. I decided finally on this goly-colour reminiscent of Rembrandt paintings.

I thought the waterlillies painting looked a bit pre-raphelite and got really good feedback on the look of that drawing in class. So, in this image, I referenced my research into chiaroscuro to finish it off. I think it makes it look much more interesting with this gold colour scheme and bold lighting.

Below is the painting, finished without the changes to lighting tone and colour. I think the darkened painting is a lot ore effective after studying and using the techniques I researched.
