Waterlillies | Painted

I painted underneath this image rather than on top and used the overlay blending techniques to cancel out the white of the paper and see the painting through the pencil layer.

I really like this effect, it combines my digital and traditional painting really well. I like the visibility of the pencil work.

Only thing is, I only seemed to be able to paint in very muted colours using this technique as bright colours just looked gaudy and out of place.
