Making my own brushes

My Frozen painting is taking a lot of experimentation and by trying different brushes I'm getting a feel of which sort of shapes and textures I like using. All the brushes I use have something "wrong" with them though. I keep finding myself going, I love this sort of brush but I wish it was more "enter preference here."

Because of this, I thought it would be a good idea to create a few brushes of my own to see how I get on with them.
My textured paint brush is made using a photograph of fusible interfacing. I really liked the texture of the "before" brush that I downloaded but this wasn't visible when you dragged the brush so I made a new one. I did a textiles A - Level and the thing the texture reminded me of was interfacing so I black and whited this image and made a brush out of it, adjusting the size/area of the square I used/brush settings until I was happy.

The skin blur brush I was using before was the default Photoshop one. I liked it but I wanted a bit more texture. I used the same setting more or less that were on the Photoshop brush but created the brush with a stucco wall texture for a bit more grit to it.

The sketch brush I was using before I liked when it was small but it got this horrible blur when you made it bigger. And the line-art brush I also didn't like because the end was too soft.
I made these brushes similarly using two ends of a pro-marker pen. The tapered for the sketch brush so it could have more of a point, like a pencil when you rub it on paper and the line-art was make using the round end. I softened the edges on both and again, messed with the settings in Photoshop till I was happy.

The soft paint brush is actually the same brush as before, I just changed the settings a lot, make it a lot softer with more transparency to get rid of the slight texture and textured end of the brush
